Coalesce is an arcade game made in my Arcade Game Production module at the University of Staffordshire.

One player pilots the neon blue square character to platform through the levels of the game while the other player uses the SINDEN Light Gun to disable walls and traps to work together to complete the level.

I made the mechanics, designed and built the levels, created the visual effects and created all the pixel art for the game.

There are three unique levels which ramp slowly in difficulty and contrain unique mechanics for the gun and square to interact with.

This video shows the levels I created for the game.

This project was selected to be ported onto University of Staffordshire arcade machines to be shown off at open days and other visits.

About Liam Burns

I am a Computer Games Design graduate who studied at the University of Staffordshire. Mechanics and Technical Design are my favourite aspects of game design but I am able to do any general design work. I enjoy working in a team to refine and condense ideas to help make a better product.
